The Forum on Disarmament and Development (FDD) encourages President Maithripala Sirisena to abolish the Executive Presidency before 31st December 2019 and fulfill one of the major election promises he made during the last presidential election campaign.



Sri Lanka is facing a garbage crisis in response to this emergency the Forum on Disarmament and Development (FDD) is urging the President and Government of Sri Lanka to resolve the crisis with meaningfully without delay.

The Sri Lanka Campaign to Stop Killer Robots (SLCSKR) concluded a successful discussion on the implications of killer robots today.

The Youth Coordinator of the Sri Lanka Campaign to Ban Landmines, Nillasi Liyanage explained the prospective contributions of Mine Action to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the context of Sri Lanka,  at the Annual Scientific Sessions of the Jaffna Science Association, University of Jaffna. She emphasized on the significant role played by female deminers in Sri Lanka.
